Typewritten and bound transcript of an interview conducted by Richard L. Jensen for the James Moyle Oral History Program and for the British Latter-day Saints Oral History Project at Brigham Young University. Oates talks about his early life in England, his joining of the Mormon Church, his various callings in that faith, and his work as a Stake President for the Mormon Church in England. Also interviewed is Frederick's wife, Gladys Quayle Oates. Mrs. Oates talks about her service in the Mormon Church.
